Author Searching

When you click the Author icon to search for documents written by a specific person, the Main Search Page Command Line prompt changes, and the author button is replaced by the keyword button. Anything typed at the author prompt will be searched only in the author (AU) field of the database. The keyword icon at the top of the Main Search Page allows you to cancel your author search and return to the standard keyword searching prompt. To search by author:

1. Enter a last name, followed by a space and the first initial (if you know it).
2. In the resulting Index Display, you can use the on-screen buttons to page forward and backward to view index entries.
3. Click the checkbox next to all applicable author names, then click the Perform Search button.
